A Call for Papers – Special Supplement to Medical Care

Measuring What Matters Most: Considering the Well-Being of the Whole Person in Health and Health-Care Research

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Health Services Research and Development (HSR&D) Services is supporting this Special Supplement to Medical Care on the topic of how measurement of well-being and whole person outcomes can improve healthcare and healthcare delivery. The Supplement will include findings from a VA State of the Art (SOTA) Conference reporting consensus on existing evidence for measurement of well-being and whole person outcomes for research, clinical practice, and population health. We also welcome submissions from the broader field (original research, systematic reviews, and perspectives) related to the topic.

This call is open to participants of the VA State of the Art Conference on Measuring What Matters Most: Whole Person Outcomes for Research, Clinical Care, and Population Health, and to the wider community conducting health and healthcare research that takes into consideration measurement of Whole Person outcomes for healthcare.

Submission Deadline: Authors are asked to submit a full manuscript along with recommended reviewers by November 30, 2023.
